13th Annual Golf Day
Washtenaw Golf Club | Monday, May 17th
A Different Format: Golf "Day"
Because of COVID-19 concerns, the format of our Golf Outing will still be a bit different in 2021, BUT there will be a lot more camaraderie than last year!
We want participants to be safe, so this year’s Golf Outing will consist of the traditional four-person scramble without the formal pre- and post-golf events. That being said, there will be lots of opportunity to interact with other teams and take a meal together.
Other Ways to Participate
Can’t make FID’s outing? There are other ways to golf or give:
- Create your own golf event: Just gather your own group of golfers and designate a round to Friends in Deed, including a donation to FID as part of the day’s festivities.
- Make a Donation: Please remember that while this year’s golf outing needs to be different, the human need is the same!
How to Register for the Golf "Day" Scramble
Golfers can register by booking a tee time directly with Washtenaw Golf Club (734-434-2150). Just tell them that you are golfing for Friends In Deed (FID) — you will pay the golf club directly. To guarantee a Monday, May 17 tee time, book anytime between now and May 3rd (before public booking opens up). Washtenaw Golf Club (WGC) will book tee times for FID beginning at 9 AM on the first tee.
Shotgun start? No, but you will be golfing with the other FID foursomes. Registration will be first come, first tee time. In other words, the first FID foursome to register will be booked on the first tee at 9 AM, the second foursome to register will be scheduled on the first tee at 9:08 AM and so on — so book early if you want an early tee time.
Camaraderie? Yes. It is our hope that these back-to-back tee times will allow you to see and interact with the other FID teams as you golf. Best of all, and depending on your comfort level, you can hang out after your game to hob nob with the other FID foursomes by having a drink at the bar or lunch on the patio or in the restaurant.
Registration Fee and Mulligans
Please note that Friends In Deed is a non-profit corporation under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. If you attend the golf outing, any donation amount above $55 per ticket is tax deductible.
